2 Weeks with no smokes!!!

I cannot believe I've made it this long. I'm still taking my pills and they are still wrenching my stomach up but at least it's only for about 20 minutes after taking them. I still find myself reaching for a cig when I first get up and am having my coffee. I now chew on straws. It seems to help. Sunflower seeds are also good! My sister is still smoke free too. My mom would be so happy if she were still alive to see this day!

Day 5 with no smokes

It's amazing how much work can be done when you are trying to keep your hands busy

Day 10

ok.....still not smoking. The habit is the worst part. I keep reaching for a smoke. I've turned to toothpicks. My sister says I need a tree branch LOL. She may be right...could whittle with my teeth haha. I keep thinking of my insides heeling and rejuvinating. They say the carbon monoxide is out of system within 24-48 hours. The nicotine 2-3 days. That's when I'm told the craving is going to get bad. The body is going to scream for nicotine. Have to keep those tooth picks handy!! I feel good I feel good I FEEL GOOD!!!!!

CHANTIX

My new adventure begins.....I'm now trying to quit smoking. I am on Day 6 of my Chantix. By Day 8 I am supposed to be a non smoker. This drug is nasty on my tummy but hopefully I can deal with it. I have noticed a decrease in the urge....it's now more like the habit I am trying to break. Sometimes I will light one and then a second later wonder why. Hope this is a good sign!
Wish me luck!

SVR

It's now been 1 year and 6 months since I finished treatment. I am happy to say that I am Hep C free! SVR!! I haven't been posting as my life has returned to normal. Normal grooling work schedule....normal normal normal!!! Treatment is worth it for anyone that is thinking about it. It's a bitch to get through but once you are done and it has worked.....life is GREAT! I don't get sick at the drop of a hat any more. As a matter of fact I have made it through the winter without even a cold! Unbelievable! Good luck everyone!
